I've always bought the pre-ground coffee for the convenience! I mean, how much difference could there REALLY be, right? Ground HAS to be freshly ground, put in bags and turned over quickly because EVERYONE buys it. Right? So, I'm buying my coffee. I get home, and for the THIRD TIME I grabbed a bag of Coffee BEANS, and not GROUND. GRRRRR STUPID!!!! Not ME, the Coffee Manufacturers. How hard would it be to put GROUND and BEAN in different COLORED BAGS? GRRRRRR Well, I'm not going back AGAIN to return this one. They win!!!SO, I said (*&^ it! I will finally read up on grinding my own beans. I read about the machines, and the reviews, but was not about to spend an arm and a leg on an expensive system when I didn't know what the heck I was doing, so...... Price vs Reviews kept bringing me back to this Mr Coffee Grinder.I got it. Opened it. Ground the Beans. Made a Cup and OMG. I can't even describe how good it was or this review would be rejected. Same brand of coffee too. Only difference was I ground it with this machine.Only negatives were what seemed common to all, a bit messy. But, I did a bunch at once and dumped it into a nice sealed container. I do enough for around 10-15 large cups. That's because it tastes SO GOOD that I've gone from only 1 large cup a day to 2 or more :) WoooooHoooo!!!If you're on the edge as to whether you want to try grinding beans yourself, this is a great one to start with. I doubt I'd upgrade. Things happen for a reason I guess. It led me to this wonderful tasting Coffee.I bought this Mr. Coffee grinder to replace a cheap Hamilton Beach coffee grinder I somehow lost. I was excited to get it on sale for half price, making it the same cost as replacing my old cheap one for a much nicer upgrade. The Mr. Coffee is great. I use it for making my own herb and spice blends, not coffee. It works much better than the cheaper one. It grinds faster and finer. It made short work of 3 tablespoons of hard dried rosemary.Only two problems with it:The inside cup and blade assembly is not removable, which makes it really difficult to clean compared to the Hamilton Beach model, where I could take out the blade and cup assembly in one piece and put it in the dishwasher.2. The Hamilton Beach one had a compartment to wind up the cord for storage. I miss not having a similar feature to get the cord out of the way on the Mr. Coffee grinder.Very pleased to find a coffee grinder that makes a decently learge quantity, is well made, and has a safety lock. Nice looking too. This grinder gets the job done, only complaint is even if you grind your beans so long the motor starts getting hot, you will still end up with several larger bean chunks in your grounds.one button to run it. Must lock and unlock lid. That's for safety, but our previous Mr Coffee grinder locked itself and started when you closed the lid. Nevertheless, simple and safe. It's all we needed.Happy with productI have had zero issues with this grinder. It is cheap and very easy to use. It has one button and one speed. This grinder does a really great job grinding coffee beans. Does a great job grinding beans. Other then the beans knocking around, it’s whisper quite. And the complaints in the reviews about cleaning it being difficult…. Well if your only using it to grind coffee beans, you really can wait 3 or 4 days between cleaning. Even then I usually just rinse it out and don’t find it problematic. For the price, this is a great little unit to compliment my French press. Debe estar construido con calidad para soportar ese tipo de maltrato de la paquetería y aún funcionar.I was pretty happy when I got it, cheap and it can grind finely? Awesome... turns out, the blade dulled after 2 uses and it's now a very coarse blend that leaves a lot to be desired.
